Blues, blues, everywhere a blue post. The communication of information from the Community team has been great of late, and there's more of it for you today.
You can find the forum here, complete with a cool, unique icon!
The forum to which your thread was relocated is a new forum for discussing the forthcoming expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. Your thread was not moved so it could be buried; it was moved so further discussion could take place via the proper avenue. Thanks for your understanding. : )
This is undetermined as of yet. We still have a ways to go before we get into those sorts of details (if there are some to give) once we get closer to releasing the expansion.
The only details we have is that we would like to continue the story of the Ashbringer in Wrath of the Lich King.
We also have no plans to upgrade Thunderfury or any other existing legendary items.
Polls can be incredibly inaccurate. While they can be fun and give a limited view of what people like or want, they don't give the whole picture.
What we prefer is for the community to discuss things on the forums as we see on a daily basis. Often times, the hottest topics are reflected in other sites and just serve to back up some of those views. Ultimately though, what it comes down to is what our overall goals for the game are and what we have in mind for the future. We keep an eye on what people are saying, suggestions, and feedback, however direct polling implicates a sort of finality that people feel means if a poll says "x" should be done that it will be done.
If you want to know the best way to get your ideas out, then just simply share your ideas and thoughts on these forums. If people agree or disagree, they'll be sure to let you know. Sometimes an idea will spark something on our end which has happened many times before. You just never know if your discussion becomes the next spark or not.
The difference between items season to season really isn't the amazing tide turner you're making it out to be. If it comes down to some type of AI simulation where each player is naked with only the weapons equipped, and they have equal skill, then you're right, you might not be able to advance.
Luckily we don't live in a world of robotic skill equalization, and if you're able to advance to the higher ratings a handful of stat points isn't going to make or break you. The issue is purely, and simply, that you don't think you will be able to achieve a rating to get the weapon, and you want it. That's an understandable reaction, but I think it would do a lot for you to create a discussion based on that reaction, and not attempt to make reasonings elsewhere as to why it's a bad idea.
We want specific items to remain "exclusive" to the higher end players. When you see someone in tier 6 you know exactly where they've been, and their progression. For PvP you may see someone with almost full season 2 and a bonegrinder, and then... realize they're on a ~1500 team. There's no visual status separation there, and that's what we want to achieve.
"Temporarily disabled" does not mean "removed" (since all the code is still in the client).
There is some server hardware/software shuffling going on, which affects the servers that provide the voice chat service.
Please note that we have the capability of selectively activating and/or deactivating voice chat on all or a chosen subset of WoW servers as needs require.
Please keep in mind that we are approaching this patch with all due care and consideration for the possible issues that may come up. As you can see in the sticky post at the top of the forum, we do have a plan for implementation and a part of that plan is being very cautious to watch for what issues are affected by the new sound system implementations and what issues are affected by the Voice Chat.
Being able to disable the Voice Chat let's us take a look to see if the issue is with one or the other easily and identify problems much quicker so that they can be taken care of.
For those that work on their own computers now and then, it's much like taking out a part here or there to see if it is the source of the problem or if it is something else.
Yaaarr! Current thinkin' be that there be no attunement, yarr, but possible ta change it be.
Nothing to share just yet on upcoming class changes. If/when we can, we will though.
If I remember right the Orcs also rode wolves in the book. Just because they are riding the wolves right now doesn't mean they don't have the skill to ride the talbuks.
The Draenei have traveled to many different worlds, the talbuks are probably just one of a number of creatures they have encountered that could be trustworthy mounts. The group known as the Kurenai who remained on what became the shattered world of Outland have retained access to the talbuks.
And in other news, there were three new pieces of fan art added to the Blizzard Fan Art section of the official Blizzard website with 3 new pieces of Fan Art.
