Good news and bad news for everyone excited about the Battleground Daily Quests. The good news is we have clarification on the intended Honor rewarded for the quest. The bad news is well... read on and see for yourself, because it's pretty silly if you were looking forward to a worthwhile shot of bonus Honor in a once-a-day quest. There are other blue posts of note too, so sit back and enjoy the afternoon snack of blue recaps!
It's off by a factor of 10. Battleground Daily quest bonus honor is supposed to be equivalent to 20 player kills at your level, ie 400 honor at level 70.
We wanted you to know that we're going to be redesigning the new discipline talent, focused will, so please hold off on providing further feedback on the ability until the new version is announced and/or it's pushed to the public test realms. The goal of the talent will still focus on survivability.
In any case, thanks for all the feedback thus far!
While the date for the end of Season 2 has not yet been announced, we wanted to let everyone know beforehand about a change to the requirements for a team to be counted towards the total teams considered for the end of season rewards.
Our goal with this change is to remove teams from being counted that could not already be eligible for the end of season rewards. By not counting them we’re effectively limiting the pool of teams that are added up before calculating the final 0.5% for the end of season rewards.
The requirements for a team to be counted (both requirements must be met):
- The team must have played at least 20 games during the season.
- The team must have at least one player that has played in 20% or more of the total games for that team.
As the requirement to be eligible for the end of season rewards is also 20% participation for the entire season, this overlap merely ensures that teams that have active and eligible members will be counted.
There is a known bug in the current PTR build (7485) that causes the Ruing of Lorderon arena to end immediately. We are working on a fix for this issue and it should be resolved in an upcoming build.
There could be some "teaming up" in Wrath of the Lich King with the Alliance and Horde as they try to defeat a common enemy, a place like Lake Wintergrasp shows how tensions are at an all time high. A world is a big place, a lot of things can be happening at once. :)
We still would like to implement this at some point in the future, however, we do not have any immediate plans for it.
When that eventually is, no one knows!
This is something we’d like to implement at some point but have no current plans to do so. Right now we are focused instead on brand new content in Wrath of the Lich King where we plan to allow flying mounts as well once your characters reaches a certain, though currently undefined, point.
Also, not quite a developer, but Iriel - a community MVP - keeps a list of the changes going into the UI each patch. Check out the Upcoming 2.3 Changes - Concise List which was updated recently.
Keep an eye out later today - Community Watch will be coming with lots (and I do mean lots) of stuff packed into it.
