The Cataclysm beta just got a bit more awesome as of build 13221. Today's update -- which is still waiting to be deployed to the realms -- introduces the Cataclysm login screen, revealed this past weekend at BlizzCon during the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Art Panel.
There was quite a bit of negative feedback from players who saw a video of the reveal, due to the screech heard during the short clip Blizzard played. Many felt the sound was far too overpowering and high-pitched. Luckily, it looks like that was in part due to the volume at the Anaheim Convention Center, as it's not nearly as loud -- or bad -- in the actual game client.
Aside from that, Deathwing doesn't perform the screech that often, so it's not going to be a race to get logged in like it is to beat Sindragosa's "roar" in the Wrath of the Lich King client. The music playing in the background is pretty amazing, too.
And for your viewing pleasure, a hi-res image of the login screen while we wait for this to be pushed to the beta realms.
