Middle-earth Harvest Festival set to begin soon!

Middle-earth's Harvest Festival is set to begin tomorrow, Friday, October 26th according to this press release sent out by Codemasters and Turbine. The Harvest Festival will be a yearly Halloween event that takes place within Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar.

“The Harvest Festival is the second of many seasonal events that we have planned for The Lord of the Rings Online,” said Jeffrey Steefel, Executive Producer of The Lord of the Rings Online. “These festivals coupled with content updates demonstrate our commitment to delivering the best online experience for our subscribers through a fun, compelling and evolving game.”

Players have until November 12th to take part in the event, which includes a Horse Racing competition where players can face off against each other for horse race tokens, used to purchase the special Harvest Festival Horse.

There will be four unique games of chance introduced, allowing players to bob for apples and try geode picking, all to earn Harvest Festival tokens, which are used to buy special festival items.

There's also a set of quests being introduced that will allow players to harvest the crops planted during the Summer Solstice Festival in June to earn a special house item.

Finally, and quite possibly the coolest of them all, are the new dancing quests with brand-new race-specific dance emotes as rewards.

If you're not a subscriber to Lord of the Rings Online, you can still participate in these events by checking out the free 7 day trial. To read more, head over to the press release.
