Papers, Please Wins Grand Prize for Best Independent Game at 16th Annual IGF Awards

As part of the 2014 Game Developers Conference, the Independent Games Festival honors the best indie game titles with a yearly awards show and event. Established in 1998 by the UBM Tech Game Network, the aim is to encourage the rise of independent game development and recognize excellence within the industry.

Taking the Seumas McNally Grand Prize for Best Independent Game, along with its $30,000 cash prize, was Lucas Pope's Papers, Please.

Quote from
"Pope's inventive and evocative game, centered around the protocols and moral challenges of working as an immigration agent under a dictatorial regime, was also honored for its achievements in Narrative and Design during the event." --
