Soulgems Upgradable
lesser soulgems seem so useless, they are just throw away items to me... but NOW, you can collect them all and upgrade them all into black soul gems :D
This mod lets you upgrade soulgems to the next tier at the SMELTER
3 petty soulgems = 1 lesser soulgem
3 = 1 of the next rank.
3 grand soulgems = 1 black soulgem.
no recipe for azuras star or the black star.

+ HOW TO INSTALL +
use Curse Client http://www.curse.com/client
or
place "cao_SoulgemsUpgradable.esp" into Skyrim DATA folder
in the launcher tick the checkbox. ... data files grayed out? -scroll down*
use anyway u want, what do i care? i think licenses are BS ... if i made a stone wheel, and no one could alter it.... there would be no rubber tires... CaoMengde777 peace.

Go to: Drive Letter:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Skyrim\SkyrimPrefs.ini
For those who don't have bought the game on steam, the SkyrimPrefs.ini file is located in Drive Letter:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\My Games\Skyrim
Add these lines, or change them if they already exist so they match the below: [Launcher] bEnableFileSelection=1
If that fails: Go to: Drive Letter:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Skyrim Make the Skyrim folder un-read only.

Posted Mar 8, 2012The fact this only works with empty soul gems is a shame. I'll wait until you fix this.

Posted Jan 10, 2012Having an odd issue. Manual installation works fine, but for some reason attempting to install via the Curse client I get the following installation failure error "could not be installed due to an error".
Not a deal breaker but it would be rather convienent for updates.
EDIT: Don't know if you made changes but it seems to be installing fine now.

Posted Jan 7, 2012i wrote it down, im gonna look into it... i forget right now but there was some complexity to the filled soulgems that was hard to understand the values in the way i was editing the files...i think thats what it was... ill see what i can do... soon

Posted Dec 29, 2011umm it is installed not grayed out. I am pretty sure it is working I just do not know how to combine them in the game.
EDIT: NVM I found it. One thing I am disapointed with is you can not do it with filled gems, just empty.

Posted Dec 20, 2011The mod seems unable to turn Grand soul gems into Black soul gems. All I can do is turn 3 Grand gems into one Grand gem - not quite what I expected. Probably a minor bug but please look into it.
