Since the last release, I have discovered a bug in the Sync Option. During my updates for Auto Note Storage, I "borrowed" code for the warning dialog box. I must have made a reference error as you will get an error if you try to turn off the Sync. This bug will not affect you unless you have more than one user with KillerDSP running.

I'm going to disable the Sync option (by default) and correct the bug. with guild note storage, you don't need to be syncing with other instances of KillerDSP. SO, I will set the Addon to be stand alone by default at install, and you can then choose your method of sync (Guild Note or Sync'ed .lua files).

Duldreg, I think I found our issue with Points in Giving loot.

I found that the points are being deducted, but the change is not being displayed. This will be corrected with the next release.

Okay, so it is taking me a bit longer to get this version done.

I decided that if I was going to play with the Note Storage Feature I was gonna do it right.

So, in addition to making the note storage "smart" (remembering your other notes), I'm updating Note storage to be a viable real-time storage method. Guild/Officer/both Notes will be updated automatically anytime a point change occurs.

This will be an Option, you can turn on/off. Data will still be stored in the .lua file, but will be considered your back up.

You will still be able to manually store/retrieve notes as before, only you will be also able to store in either Guild note and/or Officer Note. Also, A clear Notes button is available to clear your guild/officer notes of any point info, should you decide to quit using this method of data storage.

Okay, The Guild/Officer Notes server-side point storage routines are nearly done (After I accidentally wiped our Guild's notes!! Sorry Sangy! ).

Should see a release in the next day or two.

No, it is not just you. There are lots of neat features in this addon, but they are not very well organized. I still have some work to do to make everything intuitive.

I have not taken a look at the Loot section and it behaves the way it did in Varuul's release. I will take a look and see what is what. Rest assured I will address the issue. If you can give me the steps you took, I'll try to recreate the issue.

Also, If you have any suggestions on how you want it to behave, now is the time. I'm looking for feedback on how to make this addon truely "Killer".

As for the random points and the points on checked people (peeps), the whole automated points thing is very confusing. That is why it is on my list to revamp.

For your reference, if you leave peeps checked, then any points actions may affect them, depending on the setting in the options Tab and the Points Tab. If you look in the Points/mob and the point/time pages, you will notice that the same check boxes appear. These settings determine how points are automatically distributed during the raid. One of the check boxes refers to those you have checked. make sure that is unchecked and the random points issue should go away.

Also, in the Points page, be sure you are emptying the points entries after you give/take points. I probably will add a clearing function to clear the entries after points are given/taken.

Finally, look at the Options Tab. be sure you have the appropriate checks either unchecked or checked as desired.

If you can provide some examples, I will take a look and see how I can improve the way this behaves. It is currently not very intuitive...

Looks like the best thing I can do in the short term, (After the guild note update) is to put together some documentation. Some of the features that are really neat are embedded, so I'll try to get that done after the guild note update

    Thanks for your feedback.

If I understand you correctly, deducting points for items is done one of 2 ways:

    1. By selecting the winning bidder, and manualy deducting the points in the player edit section at the top of the Player Tab, and then selecting the appropriate action button.

    2. Go to the points tab. you can then add or deduct points based on the filtering check boxes below the Give Take etc. buttons. Simly enter a value and check the recipients. this way can do multiple people.

Did this answer your question? If not, please provide a bit more detail.

As for the random point changes...
What are the conditions of the test? Are you using the Guild note storage method?

FYI, I've tested KillerDSP against patch 2.3.3, and seems to work fine. No bugs noted.

However, I was looking at the Guild Note routines, and I've noted that while the guild note feature will read points from a regular guild note that has user notes as well as DSP points, it will overwrite any existing user notes and replace the regular guild note with just the DSP points.

I will be fixing this in the next 24 hours and post an update. The goal is that KillerDSP will read/write to either the Regular Guild Note OR the Officer Note, OR BOTH, your choice, WITHOUT losing any existing user entered notes.

    Stay tuned.

Thanks to those that have downloaded KillerDSP. Please let me know if you find any bugs, or desire any new features.

    I'm working on:

    - Minimap icon dragging around minimap
    - Revamp of the points/time and points/mob tabs.
    - Client Piece

    More to come folks!

For those of you that are still using DragonScalePoints, Please check out KillerDSP.

I have taken the code for DragonScalePoints, and updated it. I've added a minimap icon (movable) to make it easier to get to the DSP window, and fixed various display bugs and issues.

It is totally compatible with your existing database, and still maintains the features you are familiar with.

If you have any ideas for features or bugs I'd love to hear them.
