Nevermind that. A lot of the code involved is changing in the next version. Feel free to come back if it's not fixed by then? (currently estimated for whenever 7.2 goes live)

Current plan is to release together with 7.2. Apart from new database systems there are a few changes and additions since the last beta build.

    • Owning an item will hopefully no longer flag all difficulty versions of that item as owned.
    • Models now get omnidirectional lighting, instead of one side being cast in shadow. Looks a lot better, imo.
    • Tracking owned items in bags is going away. This was relevant before wardrobe was implemented, but is now something you should use another addon for.
    • Weapons may now be sheathed on models!

Scratch that. I just realised the obvious solution! And this should also fix the issue with all difficulty versions of items being flagged as collected... hopefully.

Edit: This comment layout doesn't really make sense...

Right, I had a look and... well, it's bad. There's a lot of underlying issues involved relating to the new database system that causes this. It's a "won't fix" for now, sorry. I may or may not do a proper rewrite in the future which should fix a bunch of stuff, but don't hold your breath.

    Hi,

Could you post a screenshot of a faulty wishlist item including tooltip, as well as of your MogIt settings?

So you don't own the exact item that you have in your wishlist set, but another that uses the same appearance? Will have a look. Thought I made sets work the same way with alternate items.

Hm, no, MogIt won't only show collected items. It will, however, only show items that you've "seen" in the wardrobe. The new database is automatically built by logging in on different characters. The first time you login (on say a warrior) you will only see plate items. (and any other items that characters can transmog) Those plate items will then be saved "permanently". If you then login with a rogue, you will be able to see leather items plus the saved warrior items.

The future of MogIt uses wardrobe items only, so as long as the wardrobe doesn't have artifacts, I'm afraid the answer is no. Manually adding them via preview is indeed possible, if not supported. As you've noticed it always uses the base item. This is in essence due to a Blizzard bug, and there's not much I can do about it until that's fixed.

As for Legion gear, that should be fixed in the upcoming version. See top of description for more info on that.

Will probably aim to get it released by 7.2, although it won't be much different than the current beta.

Hm, thought I fixed the WoD crafted items. Anyway, it should work in the upcoming version.. or you can try the beta, if you want.

Edit: Ok, actually I found a new surprise change in the item link format. Great.
