Lol, that's okay. The addon records what it sees at login or after using /portgear, so when you reloaded (which is the same as login since all addons load fresh), it wasn't aware of the other cloak since you had the port cloak on during the load. I'm glad it works though, enjoy!

I am Alliance and at least one of my cloaks works (I either did not test the other two or don't reliably remember if I did) along with the new Dalaran ring and the Brawl ring. I'll have to find a way to test Horde cloaks and see if it's a specific issue. I verified the item IDs in the item list, so that shouldn't be it. Try and use other port items to see if it's cloak-specific.

Did you have the guild cloak on when you logged in? Do you have it saved in a set that shares all the other gear you have on with the other cloak?

I knew the savedvariables were global, just making sure there isn't a character switch hidden somewhere. I made a code snippet of my own to capture and set cvars, but then I remembered I had this installed. Thanks for the reply.

This is probably a dumb question, but is this addon character agnostic? For example, if I have the "force settings" option on and log into a different character, all CVars should be synced with the first character?

My addon No Combat Text allows you to hide or customize the popup text on the player and pet frames.

You can still whisper people that leave and still group up to trade. There's some internal leeway timer allowing you to freely whisper cross-realm characters you recently grouped with.

Keep in mind that only CPU usage is what you need to concentrate on. Memory usage is not a performance hit, especially since most gamers have more than enough RAM. Trust me, use more memory to save CPU. The game is bottlenecked by CPU, conserve it.

The way I "fixed" these messages was to monitor for the faction message, block it, find the difference between the last known rep and the current rep, and send that difference along to the chat windows. The code was unaware of how you gained rep, just that you did. The only cause I can think of is you spamming several of those items at once and a rare hiccup of not catching an increase happened.

In any case, this is no longer a problem, since Blizzard "fixed" these messages to display the rep gain normally as of 7.2.5.

This is an occasional taint. Just like other taints, it can be extremely hard to track down or even fix. In the meantime, you do not need to disable the addon. Just a simple /reload will allow you to change equipment.
