Could you make it so that the settings save on a per-character basis? I switch between my main and my alts quite a lot and I don't like to have the mod on, on my main, but do on my alts. But if I change the settings to on, on my alts, it's on for my main too, so I have to turn it off.

Nice addon, speeds up the low level gearing nicely, though it does have some teething troubles.

Was levelling my priest earlier and it rolled need on a Wastewalker Shiv, a 9 stamina, 9 crit, 10 attack power dagger, when I'm using the level 63 Grand Staff of Jordan (129 int, 30 sta, 27 haste). It really annoyed the rogue in the group.

It also decided, in the same run, that some green boots with ilvl 87, 10 armor and 22 versatility was better than some blue ilvl55, 10 armor, 11 int, 11 stamina and 11 haste boots.

I managed to tweak the weights so that the boots were preferred properly, but what can I do about the dagger?

I would suggest that you go ahead and make the alterations yourself if you feel up to it and make them available to your guild privately. As long as you don't re-upload the mod as your own work, I'm perfectly happy for you to do that.

As I've said in previous comments, I no longer play, so I would not be able to test any changes made, which could be disastrous.

No, it creates it in the general settings folder specifically so that it should remember your settings between characters. Otherwise you'd have to set up it again on every character you have.

It saves it via guild name and server so that no matter what character you log onto, as long as it belongs to that guild on that server, it'll find the settings.

The only time setting resets occur is when it can't find already existing settings or changes within the guild structure happen. We already spoke about the latter, but the first could be anything. Could be due to problems with your file system (unlikely), or WoW delaying loading the settings until after the addon checks.

Either way, I'm not able to test the addon so I wouldn't be able to fix the problem, if it's even fixable at all. I don't know how the WoW API has changed since I quit playing.

The first is probably a bug, the second is intentional.

When deleteing or adding a rank, obviously the current settings won't work, so it has to reset to deal with the changes.

As I haven't played wow in many month, I've litereally no idea what state this addon is in. I'm sure some of the new patches have broken something.

But, as I don't play WoW anymore, I can't help.

Put 999999 in Time Offline for all attainable ranks (if you only want to promote by level).

Putting nothing in Time Offline makes it assume 0, and that means it will only promote people who are currently logged in.

Put lowest attainable rank at 0 in everything except Time Offline which you would set to 99999 (so realistically nobody can be off longer than that). (Remember that Time Offline is a MAXIMUM, whereas all other requirements are MINIMUM).

For all other ranks put 365 in Time Offline and use increasing values for the other stats for higher ranks as normal.

You can use lower values for Time Offline for higher ranks so they have to log in more frequently if you wish.

    So just for example,
Highest rank: Level 100, Exalted, 90 days Time In Guild and 30 days Time Offline.
High Medium rank: Level 70, Revered, 30 days Time In Guild and 90 days Time Offline.
Low Medium rank: Level 30, Honoured, 10 days Time In Guild and 365 days Time Offline.
Lowest rank: Level 1, Neutral, 0 days Time In Guild and 99999 days Time Offline.

PM me with your save settings as I suggested in my original reply. I can't help without it as I'd only be guessing how you've got the mod set up.

If someone is online currently, their Time Offline is 0. There's no game setting to do with Time Online.

Are you mistaking it for Time In Guild?

If you only want it to work by time online, set every other requirement (level, achi, join date) to 0, and set the Max Time Offline to 3. That way, anybody who has logged in more recently than 3 days will be eligible for a promotion.

Remember that the Time Offline requirement is a maximum so lower ranks require higher numbers, unlike all other requirements which are minimums and they require lower numbers for lower ranks.

If you still have trouble, PM me and add a http://pastebin.com/ or dropbox link to your settings file.

    <WoW Install Folder>/WTF/account/<accname>/saved variables/SwynGuildPromoter.lua

If I have that, I might be able to see if something else is wrong. Without it, there's absolutely nothing I can do to help as I don't know what settings you're trying to use.
