is it possible (through Lua scripts) to modify a display/trigger depending on mouseover unit conditions?

I like to use my extra mouse buttons for ranged attacks and mobility skills so I have ranged attack cooldowns anchored to my mouse and a texture as a reticle. would be nice if I could fade/color a display if a mouseover unit is/isn't in range.

if it's possible to do it, can anyone point me to some of the main lua API functions to use? I'm pretty decent at coding, but I just don't know what functions to use or how to put it all together in WeakAuras.

also would be nice if "mouseover" was an option in the target selection of triggers. I'm surprised it is not already.

just read the changelog after updating and was like "hey! that's what I was asking about!"

You're awesome! I can't wait to try it out when the servers are back up!

I just started using it a few days ago. I used to estimate my gold gains per run with broker_auditor but this is way better! I like to look at where the most expensive drops came from and I really like how it works with Can I Mog It to add some extra alerts!

is there any way to limit, redirect, or turn off the chat spam? I checked the options and read the notes above.

would be nice to only be notified in chat about new transmogs and noteworthy items. my chat gets enough addon output and error messages from other sources as it is ;-)

Every Macro-junky needs to get this addon!  I love it! I've found myself writing better and more complex macros since I got it :D What made me download was the syntax highlighting, shortening, and icon searching.

anyway, I just wanted to let you know that  "/tar" accepts conditionals the same way "/use" does.

    "/tar [@targettarget,harm,nodead][@mouseover,harm,nodead][@mouseovertarget,harm,nodead][@focus,harm,nodead][@focustarget,harm,nodead]"

gives "Required Parameter missing: /tar" in the error checking frame but works fine.

Line #183: "GetNumPartyMembers" should be "GetNumPartyMembers()" to stop attempting to announce to party when not in party. Gets rid of "You aren't in a party." chat messages.

are you sure you uploaded the correct version? The change log says "4.1.0a-oops - Did not realize Bliz had changed the COMBAT_LOG event. Updated addon to work again. :x"

But line 148 doesn't include the new arg #3 of COMBAT_LOG_EVENT_UNFILTERED "hideCaster". just a heads-up, 4.2 adds "sourceFlags" and "sourceRaidFlags" as args 6 & 7 as well.

if anybody wants to fix this for yourself, just change line 148 of "PIN.lua" to

"local timestamp, Spelltype, hideCaster, sourceGUID, sourceName, sourceFlags, destGUID, destName, destFlags = select(1, ...)"

I love this addon and I especially like that you added the call to arms icons/status! it would be even better if it played a sound when your choice of role is able to queue for call to arms ;-)

what you can do is set up a macro to toggle the announcement of those abilities.

this macro would toggle the raid/party announcement of Shield Wall (3), Last Stand (4), and Enraged Regeneration (6):

    /optitaunt ability_options 3 1
    /optitaunt ability_options 4 1
    /optitaunt ability_options 6 1

You might want to add all of them such as Shield Bash and Pummel or change the channel for those to the "say" channel so they're still useful but won't spam the whole raid.

thanks for updating the addon. I'm so happy to have it back!!! :D I noticed a few *minor* bugs/issues with it that I can totally deal with but I thought you might want to know.

1.) When I log in I have tremendous lag for about 10 seconds while the addon initializes even after deleting the saved variables and only loading Addon Mgr. the memory usage seems to go up to about 3.3mb, then back down to around 1.33mb when it stabilizes.

2.) while browsing a large amount of groups and addons some of the check-mark boxes and + signs get "stuck" to the background. this is only a visual issue and may be caused by "LibBetterBlizOptions" because I haven't been able to replicate the issue.

there are no lua errors so is there anything I can do to provide more useful information?

Baggins_ThalinarPawn reacts badly with Pawn 1.3.x and higher. a few seconds after logging in, my game locks up then when it's done processing, my chat box is spammed with "ERROR: ScaleName must be the name of an existing scale, and is case-sensitive." and Pawn's memory swells up from ~600kb or ~900kb to 5mb on a fresh installation with no previous SavedVariables for either addons. After deleting my baggins catagories that used pawn values, I found out that scales from 1.3.x are not listed when creating a new filter catagory :\ hopefully i can find a copy of Pawn 1.2.5 :\
