About Mappy

Patch 7.0

I've uploaded an update for Mappy for patch 7.0. This update removes the large and flashing node features since those are broken by the patch. Hopefully a future patch restores the behavior of the APIs, or a workaround is discovered, so that I can restore these features.

About Mappy

Mappy is a minimap addon which changes the standard round minimap into a square minimap. In addition, it adds these features to the minimap:

  • Automatic layout of addon buttons
  • Zooming in and out with the mouse wheel
  • Combat alpha setting
  • Save and load profiles (size, position, settings, etc)
  • Gathering overlay support for Gatherer and GatherMate

3.6 Changes

  • FEATURE: Restored flashing and large node features. A huge thanks to Voxxel for the legwork in finding the solution. Blizzard's new blip textures have more room for nodes, so I've been the large size bigger. Unfortunately the flashing is causing the minimap blips to flicker terribly, so I've reduced the flash rate to minimize that. I suggest keeping the flashing mode turned off unless you're gathering.

3.5 Changes
