So what you are saying is that people who are doing something for you in their spare time, free of charge, should drop everything and get a perfect AtlasLoot out to you ASAP.  This ignores the fact that they might actually want to play the game too, as well as the fact that most things the addon needs are not implemented in the Beta until the game is about to go live, so there is very little ability to prepare before launch.

It is attitudes like this that drove me out of the addon game.  The dungeons are in there, some of the rep loot is in there, Hegarol says the professions, etc are on the way, what more can you ask for?

Also note that it simple comes down to a question of time and manpower.  A lot of loot only appears in the dying days of an expansion beta, professions in particular are in a constant state of change so it is a bit of a race to get those remotely close to finished.  The current crew have done well.

I thought I would take a moment and let everyone know where we are going with AtlasLoot. Some of you will have noticed a change in the project lead role in the past couple of weeks and others have been questioning why there has not been an update for a while.

For the past couple of years I have been finding myself with less and less time to maintain AtlasLoot, indeed a pretty much stopped playing WoW around the same time as I had to much else going on in my personal life. To get around this, I have been reaching out for help, and indeed the last 12 to 18 months has seen some fantastic teamwork. As of the Cataclysm expansion, Hegarol will be taking over from me as 'project lead'. As I have said, AtlasLoot is a TEAM project so most people won't notice a difference. I still plan to hang around in the background offering advice for the guys and lending a hand if needed.

The next AtlasLoot version will obviously be out for Patch 3.3.5. The reason there has not seemed to be much activity lately is that we are very focused on Cataclysm and are doing some fairly big surprises we are sure you guys will like. This is such a massive codebase change, that we are starting as early as we can.

I hope everyone gives Hegarol the support you have given me, AtlasLoot still continues and will continue as long as we can see.

I already have small pauses between each query, but since it is not documented what the Blizz servers will allow (because Blizzard don't want you doing this at all in the first place) I am not game to go further than one loot page at a time. The amount of angry emails when people get stuck in an endless loop of disconnects is not pretty.

There is no point to a global query button as you would just be disconnected for server flooding. It sometimes happens already with the 30 items on a standard loot page.

I agree with Hegarol, sounds like a third party addon. Do you use Tabard-o-matic? Disable everything else and see if AtlasLoot still misbehaves.

There is no need to search for the data, just type '/al' in your chat window to bring up the loot browser.

Atlas should be updated 'soon' but that is an entirely different development team and I only base it on the near-complete development version they have.

Reset the mod in the options menu. This sometimes works. We have no control over what the server lets you see.

There's your problem. WoW should not be installed in Program Files, by default in Vista and Windows 7 it should install in C:\Users\Public\Games. There is a very good reason for this, as Vista and Win7 have write protection on Program Files, meaning the curse client can't write there, it is actually writing to a 'Virtual Store' in your profile that WoW can't detect.

There are a couple of solutions (discussed in more detail on the WoW UI forums), but the simplest is to move your WoW install out of Program Files (you don't need to reinstall, just cut and paste the folder somewhere else). That solves most issues.

Did you update manually? Is your WoW installed in Program Files? Are you using Win7 or Vista?
